Bob was a true friend. You say you can tell a great man by how he treats a little man. Bob was a great man. He never let his success in this world take away from his calling to follow Jesus to love and serve others. Very sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was a dear friend to me and my family. I've known Bob for over 40 years, and was blessed to have him with us in the wake of my father's death in 2005. Bob's encouragement, support, and sound advice, has helped me navigate the often treacherous, business and political waters I've encountered over the past 18 years. I had just been thinking about calling him to ask his advice on a difficult decision, when Chris called me with the sad news. But with the sadness, there is rejoicing, as Bob has gone on to his promised reward. He was an excellent example of what a Christian man is supposed to be; kind, generous, honest, loving, and fully comfortable in his faith and commitment. He was a good man and a good friend. I will miss his counsel, and join with his family in mourning his passing and celebrating his life. I know, as they do, that he has returned to the Father through the grace of Jesus Christ, and that we will one day be reunited. Thank you Bob. Until we meet again.

Bob was a friend I never met. Bob was a generous partner with my organization, Corporate Chaplains of America. He and I had scheduled a meeting last fall, but on the way to the airport, I became ill, and diverted to the ER. When I called Bob to explain and reschedule, he was so concerned about me. He even texted me a few days later to check on how I was doing. We were planning to visit in February. I'm grateful for my friend Bob and pray for the entire family. Bob was one of those rare people who care so much about those around them that they seem to ignore their own needs, and use all of their time, energy, caring and treasure as they help those in need.
