Erin McCullough

Erin McCullough is an award-winning journalist from Southern Middle Tennessee. She came to the WKRN digital team in May 2022 from print journalism, having previously served as a staff writer and eventual managing editor of The Tullahoma News. During her tenure at The News, Erin won multiple awards for her education and business reporting as well as her investigative reporting work, covering the school system and city government of her hometown Tullahoma, Tenn., as well as a two-week strike of metal trades workers at Arnold Air Force Base in 2021. 

She also served as the interim editor of The Grundy County Herald in Tracy City, Tenn. 

Erin is a native Tennessean through and through, having gotten her bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols!), where she was a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band while pursuing her English degree. 

When not tracking down leads for stories, Erin can be found exploring the Music City, attending comedy shows at Zanies or watching football during the fall.
