    ON JANUARY 21, 2021, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 9, AS AMENDED.

    AMENDMENT #1 requires the department of education to calculate and report the amount of increased funds that each public charter school should receive from the pools of funds that this bill appropriates for employee salary increases for teachers and other certified staff. This amendment specifies that LEAs are required to include, in the per pupil funding amount required under the Tennessee Public Charter Schools Act of 2002, all increased funds that are due to public charter schools operating in the LEA.

    ON JANUARY 22, 2021, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 9 FOR HOUSE BILL 20, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #2, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 9, AS AMENDED.

    AMENDMENT #2 inserts references to the bill numbers for the Tennessee Learning Loss Remediation and Student Acceleration Act.
