Georgia Residents - Protect Access to Georgia’s Waterways

In 2023, Georgia took steps to ensure that state streams are accessible for citizens to fish, boat and hunt by signing SB 115 into law.

Now, a new bill threatens Georgians’ access to navigable streams statewide. Officially called HB 1172, this new legislation would make it unclear where and how the public can fish, hunt, or pass through streams. If passed, it could create barriers to public access and cause confusion over where you can, and can’t fish.

Click the 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐈𝐍 𝐁𝐈𝐎 and tell your Senators to oppose this legislation today.

Shark encounters while fishing are dangerous and can lead to lost fish, bait and gear. Congress has a chance to address this issue at the national level, mitigating encounters for years to come.

The SHARKED Act has already passed in the House. Once passed by the Senate and signed into law by President Biden, the SHARKED Act directs NOAA to create a task force to study shark depredation. The coordinated effort will help improve future management, education and research actions.

Kentucky Residents - Protect Fish and Wildlife Management

Senate Bill 3 poses a serious risk to the future of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. SB 3 wouldn’t attach @kyfishwildlife to the to the Department of Agriculture and enable the Commissioner of Agriculture to fill the seats of the KDFWR Commission.

This bill would jeopardize KDFWR’s history of successful management and conservation, opening the Department up to political interests, and diminishing the voices of the anglers, hunters and sportsmen that fund the management of Kentucky’s fish and wildlife.

As the bill passed the Senate Committee on Agriculture on March 12, we need your help immediately. Tell your legislators to protect fish and wildlife management and oppose Senate Bill 3. 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐈𝐍 𝐁𝐈𝐎
