Congress made huge progress when it passed the PACT Act, but presumptive benefits mean little if veterans can't get an accurate diagnosis in the first place. The AIR CARE for Vets Act is the next step: giving the VA the diagnostic tools to see the invisible wounds of war quickly, non-invasively, and definitively.
Four-dimensional lung imaging technology shows how the lungs move and function, catching deployment-related disease that standard assessments miss, and produces results proven to be comparable to a lung biopsy. The technology has the potential to accelerate diagnosis, improve triage and treatment decisions, and support more timely evaluation of veterans with suspected deployment-related lung disease. This means clearer answers sooner, and the chance to avoid unnecessary, invasive, and ineffective procedures and tests as you seek the care and benefits that the PACT Act guarantees.
This is a no-brainer.
Please write to your delegation asking them to sign on to the AIR CARE for Vets Act.
