Happy January! We are excited to have you as an Ambassador for 2024! Your role as a leader in the community association housing model is highly appreciated and will significantly contribute to our efforts.
Over the next few months, we will help you develop a strong relationship with a legislator, enhance your advocacy skills and knowledge, and guide you to become a subject matter expert for your legislator.
Your Challenge for January: Connect with your state legislator. Here are three simple steps to get started:
- Use CAI’s Legislator Look-Up Tool to locate a state legislator you'd like to establish a rapport with.
- Research your legislator and subscribe to their newsletter. Here's a helpful guide on how to do that!
- Initiate contact! Click here to send a pre-drafted outreach to their office! Don't forget to personalize the email with your role in the community association housing model!
Once you've completed these steps, let us know how it went! We would appreciate it if you could answer three simple questions after reaching out to your legislator, to allow CAI to know how we can assist you further!
