Last year, the Utah State Legislature created the Community Association Ombudsman Office, and your continued engagement is critical as this new office begins its work. During the 2025 legislative session, the Utah Legislative Action Committee (UT LAC) strengthened HB0217 to provide better policies and protections for Utah's community associations. This year, UT LAC is working with legislative partners, the bill's original sponsor, and the Ombudsman office on a clean-up bill to clarify the office’s jurisdiction and ensure it functions as intended.
We need your help. Please email your state legislators using the box on the right and urge them to support UT LAC’s efforts to refine the current language. Your voice strengthens these partnerships and ensures community associations are well-represented as the session begins.
