Oppose HB 402 to Oppose Costly New Government Programs
CAI Maryland – now is the time to act and we’re making advocacy as easy as ONE CLICK!

HB 402 Common Ownership Communities - Oversight, Governing Document Database and Local Commissions. - will be heard in the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee THURSDAY APRIL 1, at 1:00 PM, and we need your help! As written, HB 402 would create a statewide oversight office and effectively move the center of gravity for dispute resolution from the community to a state-level office, increasing both the complexity and costliness associated with the dispute resolution process. Not only would this bill create a costly and ineffective government program paid for by taxpayers and homeowners like yourself, but it’s not needed — 86% of community association homeowners report satisfaction with their community, according to the Foundation for Community Association Research.
