Oppose SB 1290 and Protect your community!
CAI’s Arizona Legislative Action Committee (AZ LAC) needs YOUR HELP opposing language that would extensively impact how associations govern meetings. SB 1290: Open meetings, exceptions, notice, agenda would prevent Boards from taking action on sensitive, protected topics in executive session.

Urge Senators to oppose this language – advocacy takes less than a minute!

The bill would expand mandatory open-meeting requirements and would require Boards of Directors to vote on sensitive, protected topics in an open meeting rather than in a closed session. The bill would compromise the Association’s ability to keep confidential matters protected from disclosure to the entire community.

Take a moment to personalize your message and share how this mandate would negatively impact your community - legislators need to hear the real-world effects.

Take Your Advocacy Further: Share this campaign with peers, homeowners, and board members to amplify your voice. Your message will go directly to your state Senator, and you can expand your impact by emailing additional Senators using the provided language.
