Urge Senator Payne to HOLD SB 1582!
CAI Arizona Legislative Action Committee (AZ LAC) needs your immediate help! We are asking constituents of Senator Kevin Payne to contact his office and respectfully urge him to ask Senate Leadership to HOLD SB 1582: Backyard fowl regulation; prohibition; exception; definition and prevent a final vote when the bill returns from the House. Time is critical. The state budget is moving, and the Legislature could adjourn within the next one to two weeks. We must act now to ensure this bill does not advance.

Contact Senator Payne and ask him to HOLD SB 1582 to stop it from reaching the Senate Floor

SB 1582 would override local decision-making by requiring many community associations to allow backyard chickens, when community associations already provide residents with a fair and democratic process to determine their own rules. SB 1582 raises serious concerns about noise, odor, pests, and overall quality of life, especially in communities with smaller lots and close proximity between homes.

Take an additional minute to personalize this message and share how this mandate would negatively impact you and your own community association. We need to tell Senator Payne about the real-world, negative impacts this bill would have on your neighborhoods.
