AB 1410 (Rodriguez) has been referred to the California Senate Judiciary Committee. It was recently amended to delete the mandatory education requirements for Association board members, but now includes a required Code of Conduct to be signed by Board members and employees. This is an unnecessary expense mandated by Sacramento that will likely result in litigation and increased costs for associations throughout California.
If your Senator is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, please contact them and tell them to VOTE NO. California cannot be concerned about the high cost of housing and continue to place unnecessary mandates on associations.
