[Update - 09.20.19: The final rule prohibiting sales of flavored vapor products (other than tobacco flavor) has been signed by Governor Whitmer. Retailers in Michigan have until OCTOBER 2ND to sell through their existing flavored products. The final rule is available here.]
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is taking executive action to BAN THE SALE OF ALL FLAVORED VAPOR PRODUCTS.
The emergency order is expected to be finalized within the next few weeks (a final version could be sent to the department of health as early as this week). Once finished, the ban takes effect immediately following a 30-day sell through period and will last for six months. After which, the ban can be renewed.
This is not a partial ban on some flavors or some retail locations. Online and retail sales of flavored vapor products are banned after a 30-day sell-through period.
Take Action TODAY by calling Governor Whitmer’s office and urging her to rescind this order.
