Here’s why: County Law Libraries rely on a small portion of the court’s civil filing fees for most of our funding. In the last 15 years, that funding dropped by almost half. 

To make matters worse, County Law Libraries have received $0 from the State of California in the last two years. 

What does it mean? Many County Law Libraries must cut hours, services, staff, and resources that you and your community rely on, especially those who can’t afford a lawyer.
