Take Action on Educational Choice!

The Kentucky General Assembly is considering bills that would bring educational choice to Kentucky! House Bill 350 and Senate Bill 110 have been filed and would create a Scholarship Tax Credit program for Kentucky families. Please call or email your State Representative and State Senator today and ask them to support and co-sponsor these bills.

You can email your legislators by completing the form on this page or call 1-800-372-7181 and the operator will leave a message for your representative and senator based on your home address.  A Scholarship Tax Credit program would bring educational choice to Kentucky by encouraging charitable donations to tuition assistance programs.  These programs would provide needs based scholarships to families who wish to send their children to a K-12 nonpublic school, including faith based schools.

Be sure to personalize your email messages and don’t forget to encourage your family and friends to contact their legislators as well!

Key Points:

  • Private donations make the scholarships possible. No taxpayer money is taken from public schools or given to private schools.
  • Additional scholarship funds mean more families can get their children into the right learning environment. Income and zip code will no longer deter educational success.
  • 62% of Kentuckians support Scholarship Tax Credits. That's bipartisan, majority support!
  • The scholarships benefit rural as well as urban families – the common factor is need. By providing this opportunity, doors are opened for kids to walk through and find success. And when children succeed, families and communities prosper.
