This week, 11-year-old Ellie from Seymour, Wis. is in Washington, DC with Children’s Wisconsin to advocate on Capitol Hill! She is joined by kids from other children’s hospitals across the country who are taking part in the Children’s Hospital Association Family Advocacy Day. Right now, Congress is debating the budget reconciliation legislation which includes changes to the Medicaid program. Because so many kids we care for are covered by Medicaid, the program is essential to maintaining all the critical services we offer in the hospital and community.
