Contact Virginia's leaders in support of the Tuition Assistance Grant (TAG) program
The TAG award amount is set annually by action of the General Assembly. The process began with the Governor's Office. CICV and our many stakeholders have been advocating for an increase in funding to enable a $4,500 TAG award to undergraduate students and a $2,500 award to graduate students in health professions for the next school year and $5,000 the year following.

The introduced budget included funds for the undergraduate award to increase by $500 in each of the next two years, but the process is not yet complete. Now, we need to continue to communicate with members of the General Assembly, encouraging them to also support funding for TAG once the bill comes before them for consideration. Hearing from constituents about the value of the TAG program is key.

Help us remind them of all of the ways that TAG makes a difference to you so that they will remain focused on seeing this through to the finish line.

Thank you!
