The Colorado Oil and Gas Association is excited to announce the new Energy Advocate program. This new program builds off the momentum of the 2018 campaign, empowering industry members to engage in political advocacy at state and local levels of government.
When we reflect on this year's historic election cycle, we are in awe of Colorado's amazing oil and natural gas industry. Energy employees showed what we can achieve when we are motivated and when we are united, ultimately defeating Proposition 112 at the ballot box.
We won that battle, but the defense of our industry is far from over. We need to continue to spread our message. We knocked on voters' doors, now we need to knock on legislators' doors. We put up yard signs, now we need to sign up to testify at public meetings. We rallied outside the Capitol, but now it's time to go inside and protect Colorado's energy future. Our work is just beginning and it will take all of us.
That's why COGA is committed to providing a training ground for Coloradans in the oil and natural gas industry to raise their voice and show their energy pride.
