Supports Moms by Supporting Life.gov
For every one Planned Parenthood clinic, there are dozens of pregnancy resource centers and clinics ready to help new moms. But while these life-affirming centers outnumber the big abortion facilities, their advertising budgets are infinitesimally smaller.  The most recent study on abortion statistics showed that 87% of women who get abortions are unmarried. These are women without a strong support system around them, who are bombarded by the advertising campaigns and educational propaganda put out by Planned Parenthood. When they find themselves in what can be a scary situation, they do not know where to turn besides the nation’s largest abortion facilitator.

Enter the idea of Life.gov. Both the MOMs Act and The Standing with Moms Act would create a website listing local, state, and federal resources already available for expectant moms and families. This website would help women access the many resources available to them when facing an unexpected or particularly difficult pregnancy.

Such a resource can be lifesaving, especially when one considers the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) vast resources, preexisting intergovernmental relationships, and the credibility intrinsic to a “.gov” address.

This one-stop-shop website would be an indispensable tool for an expectant mom to learn about the public and private resources available in her zip code to assist her throughout pregnancy and afterward. The resources would cover areas of need like health care and OB-GYN services, financial assistance, prepartum and postpartum services, housing assistance and mentorship opportunities.

Ask your Congressmen and Senators to support legislation to support moms and implement Life.gov.
