Support US Action to Reduce Carbon Pollution
As people of faith, we are called to care for our common home. In October, the Environmental Protection Agency made an announcement that goes against that call. They formally announced the repeal of the Clean Power Plan, an intiative unveiled in 2015 to reduce the carbon pollution from power plants across the United States and encourage clean energy development. The Clean Power Plan also served as part of the US' contribution under the Paris climate agreement.

The EPA is legally required to consider public comment on this decision. Take a moment to submit a comment registering your support for the Clean Power Plan or a replacement plan that meets or exceeds the CPP's climate goals. Climate change poses an undeniable threat to our security, public health, and economy. Now is the time to support critical climate change safeguards and keep building a clean energy economy that works for all Americans.
