The Hallo-READ at the White House event featured Halloween-themed decorations and activities, including trick-or treating along the South Lawn of the White House. Children with SMA and their families participated in a special midday session on October 30 specifically tailored to children with disabilities, including shorter lines, reduced crowd capacity, and a relaxed atmosphere. The children, along with their adult guests, were encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.
The special Hallo-READ event celebrated reading and featured story time, free books, and famous literary characters.
Cure SMA thanks the President, First Lady, and all the Administration officials for welcoming children with SMA and their families to the White House for this spooky-fun event!
