For Academy Members and RDNs: Support the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act
The bipartisan, bicameral Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (S.1973, H.R.4321) has been reintroduced for the 119th Congress. 

Tell Congress that comprehensive coverage for obesity treatment must include lifestyle interventions such as intensive behavioral therapy (IBT) in addition to anti-obesity medications. 

The Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (TROA) would allow registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) to independently provide IBT for obesity within Medicare Part B and would provide coverage for anti-obesity medications in Medicare Part D.  

Urge your members of Congress to support this bill to improve patient outcomes and enhance healthcare access.
