The Future Advancement of Academic Nursing Act (FAAN, H.R. 6607/S. 3435) takes important steps to expand the number of available nursing school slots and faculty positions at our nation’s nursing schools by making a $1 billion investment in nursing education to expand partnerships and recruit and retain both staff and nursing students. Funding could also be used to modernize the curriculum, technology and simulation labs.
