Protect Continuous Alarm & Fire Monitoring in Arizona
Arizona legislators are considering legislation (HB 2951) that would impose new automatic renewal requirements on alarm and life-safety service contracts. While transparency in contracting is important, this bill does not account for the unique public safety role of monitored security and fire systems.

Alarm monitoring services operate 24/7 to protect homes, businesses, and families. Requiring repeated renewal notices and simplified cancellation mechanisms could unintentionally create confusion about whether monitoring services are ending, increasing the risk of service lapses.

As currently written, HB 2951 does not exempt licensed alarm and life-safety providers.

Take action now by sending a message to your legislator and urging them to amend HB 2951 to protect continuous security and fire monitoring services for Arizona consumers.
