The Chloe Cole Act of 2026 (House Resolution 5483) (Senate Bill 2907) has been introduced in the U.S. Congress by Representative Bob Onder (R-Mo.) and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.). The bill is named after Chloe Cole, a courageous young woman who detransitioned after undergoing irreversible sex-rejecting procedures as a child. Using her story and voice, Cole has advocated to protect children from these harmful procedures and chemical treatments. The bill prohibits the performing of sex-rejecting procedures on minors and creates a private right of action for children who have been transitioned, giving these children and their parents the ability to sue those involved as complications arise.
- Contact your members of Congress to encourage them to support the Chloe Cole Act if they are not currently a co-sponsor.
- Contact members of the House Committee on Judiciary to ask them to co-sponsor the bill. We also urge that they send it to the House floor for a vote.
We support legislation to protect our children from potentially life-altering decisions that they do not have the maturity or capacity to make in other areas of law and of life. When our children are struggling, they need compassionate care—not harmful treatments and surgeries.
Thank you!
