The North Carolina House of Representatives passed HB 560 in May 2023. Now it is time for the North Carolina General Assembly to finalize legislation to require every health benefit plan offered by an insurer to provide diagnostic or supplemental examination for breast cancer and to ensure that the cost-sharing requirements applicable to a diagnostic or supplemental examination of breast cancer are no less favorable than the cost-sharing requirements applicable to a low-dose screening mammography.
