Support Online Safety – TAKE IT DOWN Act!
In February, the Senate approved the TAKE IT DOWN Act, S. 146, which will criminalize the publication of nonconsensual sexually explicit intimate imagery, whether actual or AI-generated, require social media and other websites to remove such images within 48 hours of receiving notice from the victim, and ensure that perpetrators are held accountable. The bill also provides federal law enforcement with the tools they need to crack down on privacy violations and provide victims with legal protection.

On April 8, the House Energy and Commerce Committee advanced the bipartisan bill by a vote of 49-1. It is now ready for floor action by the House of Representatives.
