As the FY 2027 federal appropriations process is beginning, millions of children have missed routine immunizations. We have already seen a rise in the number of measles and polio outbreaks around the globe, and in the United States. Recent global health and security crises have shown that now is a critical moment to strengthen immunizations and protect health systems. These smart investments enhance our country’s global health security against current and future disease threats by detecting and stopping diseases early, at their source, and for a fraction of the cost of trying to contain an outbreak.
GFWC is proud to partner with Shot@Life to advocate for full funding for global vaccination programs for children! Now it is time to urge Congress to provide full funding in FY 2027. We have already seen an increase in measles and polio cases around the globe and here in the United States. You can help ensure we get immunization rates back on track and save lives by urging Congress to fully fund global vaccination programs.
