Wednesday Day of Action to #SaveChildCare (Sept. 30th)
Groundwork Ohio, along with our state and national early childhood advocacy partners, is participating in weekly days of action each Wednesday throughout September to #SaveChildCare. We need your help.

As the pandemic began to shut down our state in March, child care providers were quick to respond to the needs of children, families, and communities. Since then, we've worked to elevate the critical need for significant child care relief in order to stabilize Ohio's child care system and ensure providers receive the support they need to best serve children and families during this ongoing crisis.  But Congress has yet to provide the dedicated support Ohio's child care system so desperately needs.

A recent poll showed that Ohioans overwhelmingly believe that making sure children get a strong start in life through quality early learning programs (95%) and helping provide childcare for working parents (89%) are important goals for Ohio.

This week, House Democrats released their updated HEROES Act proposal, which includes $57 billion dollars for child care.  This is an important step in ensuring that negotiations between the House, Senate, and White House continue to make child care a top priority.

Join us today in reaching out to your members of Congress on both sides of the aisle and sharing why they must immediately pass $57 billion to stabilize our child care system.
