All children deserve the chance to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. But all too often, a child’s race, their family’s income, or the zip code they live in determines how they’ll do in life. That’s why public investment in high-quality, evidence-based programs that support infants, young children, and their families helps lay the foundation to a stronger, healthier, and more prosperous Ohio.
Ohio has the opportunity to support Ohio’s young children, families, small businesses, and communities by investing in early childhood initiatives in the state biennial budget. Right now, members of the Ohio General Assembly are working on the next state budget – including how much investment goes to programs that help young children and their families reach their full potential.
Please join us in calling on members of the Ohio General Assembly to do the right thing for young children, families, and our communities by expanding access to quality child care, investing in evidence-based home visiting programs, and supporting maternal and infant health.
