Protect Hospital Employees and Patients
Urge your legislators to protect hospital employees and patients by enacting a state budget that increases hospital Medicaid payments and funding to care for our most vulnerable citizens.

The State has not increased hospital Medicaid rates since 2013 and some years payments have been reduced. Meanwhile, the cost of providing care is increasing, hospitals are facing uncertainty at the federal level, and the State has set limits on payments from commercial insurers.

In addition, budget proposals cut needed funding to offset the cost of providing free care to Rhode Islanders without the ability to pay.

Years of continued cuts have left our hospitals in critical condition. They need these funds to invest in their workforce and patient care.

Tell the General Assembly to invest in hospitals, employees, and patients.
