Show Your Support for the Colorado Charitable Crop Donation Act!

Many Colorado families and individuals turn to food pantries during times of need, and oftentimes, they find limited options for fresh produce. That can change with the passage of the Colorado Charitable Crop Donation Act this legislative session.

House Bill 2014-1119 would provide struggling Coloradans with more access to fresh, healthy, locally produced food -- including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products and meat products -- by offering a 25% tax credit to local producers for the wholesale value of food that they produce and donate to qualified nonprofit food distribution organizations across the state. Learn more about the bill and its benefits for Colorado growers, food banks, food pantries and families in need.

HB-1119 has received bipartisan support under the dome and in the community, and it is sponsored by Rep. McLachlan, Rep. Dore, Sen. Hodge and Sen. Roberts. Hunger Free Colorado is a lead supporter of this bill.
