Credit unions are exempt from federal corporate income tax because of our structure as not-for-profit, financial cooperatives. We need your help to protect this tax status—the savings from which get passed through to members in the form of lower rates on loans, fewer fees and higher rates on savings. By contacting your Member of Congress, you can help ensure they understand how important credit unions are to you and the 1.5 million Iowa credit union member-owners.
