We need your voices again so Washington State legislators can hear it: Let them know that students need full restorations of the Washington College Grant and College Bound Scholarship.
Last session, Washington State lawmakers voted to cut financial aid for students from families with low incomes who attend not-for-profit colleges and universities, slashing the Washington College Grant and College Bound Scholarship programs by up to half. These decisions go against everything our state says it stands for: equity, opportunity, and building a strong local workforce.
Now, the state is changing the rules mid-game—after promising support to students who’ve been planning for college since middle school.
Add your voice, and ask your Senator and Representative to restore student aid funding in his supplemental budget. Ask your state elected officials to support SB 5828.
