HB 3637 passed out of the House and will go through the same process in the Senate. It amends numerous health care laws.
Prohibits the Illinois Department of Health from taking disciplinary action against a person who has had their license, registration, and/or permit revoked in another state as a result of violating that state's law against certain procedures, such as abortions.
Is this part of their plan to legalize physician assisted suicide? Since the members of the Illinois Medical Society voted to oppose the bill, do lawmakers have to import doctors from other states that have had their licenses revoked for unethical medical practices? Will these "imported" doctors be willing to administer lethal drugs?
There's more to HB 3637.
It also allows a drug not approved by the Food & Drug Administration, but one that has been recommended by the World Health Organization to not be deemed an adulterated drug, even if the drug's labeling reflects prior approval that is no longer in effect. It appears that lawmakers are OK with bypassing the FDA's drug testing and safety standards for counsel from an organization that operates outside of the United States. This is the same group that recommended school closures, masks, and jabs for school-aged children during CO-VID.
Urge your state senator to oppose HB 3637 if it passes out of committee, which is likely.
