OPPOSE Physician-Assisted Suicide
UPDATE: The Illinois Senate passed this bill on Oct. 31st and the bill is now headed to Governor JB Priztker.  Please urge him to VETO physician-assisted suicide! 

Illinois must not normalize or institutionalize suicide. 

Scripture tells us that every person is created in the image of God (Gen. 1:27), and thus each life holds immeasurable value. Moreover, the command "Thou Shall Not Kill" (Ex. 20:13) affirms the sanctity of human life. Christians must speak out!

At its April 2025 annual meeting, the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) overwhelmingly voted to oppose legalizing physician-assisted suicide. 

This decision reflects the stance of most Illinois doctors against prescribing lethal medications. They took an oath to do no harm and certainly not to provide the means for their patients to end their lives.
