Anti-IFI Resolution Petition
In a recent website article we pointed out that human beings in the womb are considered by the anti-life Left to be subhuman — just like the Jewish people were in Nazi Germany.

Now, in the wake of full-term abortion extremism in New York, Virginia, and now even in Springfield — where the liberal left is working harder than ever to give Illinois the distinction of having the most radical abortion laws in the land — this is a fair and legitimate comparison that has left-wing activists on their heels!

In response, these anti-life activists are desperately trying to change the narrative by attacking Illinois Family Institute’s work, speech and presence at the Illinois Capitol! In an official joint resolution (HJR 55), far-left lawmakers are officially calling for our right to lobby at the Capitol to be revoked, and for the Illinois State Police to investigate us for “hate speech.”

Don’t let them silence our pro-life voices! They are out to destroy us, but we won’t back down!

In the next few weeks, Illinois Family Institute plans to hand-deliver thousands of petitions to State Representatives Bob Gordon and Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz, the chief sponsors of HJR 55, and demand that they immediately stop this unprecedented tyrannical action!
Petition Text
The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

The First Amendment DOES NOT STATE: “Illinois Lawmakers are granted a special privilege to pick and choose, and stifle as they see fit, any particular speech they disagree with if it goes against their own personal beliefs or political agenda.”

Recently, Illinois Family Institute made a comparison that found similarities between the Nazis holocaust and our modern-day abortion holocaust. The First Amendment grants you the right to disagree with this observation, but — regardless of how passionate you may feel about the analogy — it does not grant you the right to abridge their freedom of speech or prevent them from petitioning the government for a redress of grievances, which are rightfully and legally granted to all citizens, including Illinois Family Institute.

As a duly elected official of the people you are expected to hold yourself to the highest standard of integrity. You have sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution. You are required to follow the rule of law. Please exemplify good character, and do what is honorable and right. As a concerned Illinois citizen, I stand with Illinois Family Institute and other sound-minded Illinois voters to demand that you immediately terminate HJR 55.
