OPPOSE HB 5295 - Prohibits Sharing Abortion Records
HB 5295 puts politics above people's lives. It creates a legal firewall around abortion services in Illinois by prohibiting Illinois medical providers from sharing abortion-related records. If providers fail to shield the records properly, it allows for lawsuits and penalties.

State Rep and medical doctor, Bill Hauter, said there's no way a doctor from another state should not have access to this information. And that preventing access to medical records puts people's lives in danger.

It passed in the House.
