OPPOSE SB 3669 - Student Academic, Behavioral, Emotional Intervention
SB 3669- Adrianne Johnson (D-Waukegan): part of the mental health package, would require every school district to create a formal intervention plan for students who are struggling academically, behaviorally, or emotionally. In practice, that means schools would have a structured process for identifying students, putting them into escalating levels of support, collecting data on them, and moving them into more intensive interventions if they do not respond.

The bill says parents get written notice, but may only join the collaborative team at the school district’s discretion.

Urge your state senator to OPPOSE SB 3669.
