Tell Pritzker NO to tuition perks for illegal students
In the 2027 state budget, Governor Pritzker included $2.7 billion toward higher education. The expansion includes, in part, money to cover students who are here illegally and who want to attend public universities/colleges.

In order to accommodate this bloated budget, look for a tax increase.

Illinois State Senator Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) posted on his social media the following response:

“The university bureaucracies love it because it means more revenue. Illinois families get the bill. At a time when tuition is already too high, Springfield is once again putting everyone else ahead of the taxpayers who actually live here.”

Let Governor Pritzker know that you don't want your tax dollar to go to people who are breaking the law by being here illegally. Let him know it's policies like this that are causing families to leave Illinois, putting a burden on those who remain.
