Write a message to your members of Congress urging them to choose love, compassion, and justice in their decisions. Share your faith values and lift up issues such as immigration justice, LGBTQ+ rights, peacebuilding, and care for our communities. Feel free to use the outline below to help guide your letter. 

1. Introduce yourself: provide personal information to root yourself in the community (I am active in my local church of 200 members, I taught elementary school for 23 years here in ________, etc.).

2. Share your concern: Explain the issue you care about and why it matters to you. Be specific and concise. Share how it affects your community, your faith values, or the people you care about. Feel free to add a personal story!

3. Make the ask: Call upon your members of Congress to take action on your issue. Be as specific as possible! Example: “I urge you to support [policy or bill] because it promotes justice, compassion, and care for all people.”
