Congress has begun work on FY27 spending, with the House poised to mark up its version of Department of Education funding in early June. The stakes are very high as the President has proposed to eliminate some key language education programs, including Title III – English Language Acquisition and HEA Title VI/Fulbright-Hays, and consolidate and cut 17 key K-12 education programs, including Title II-A – professional development and Title IV-A – flexible block grant. We need to make our voices heard right now so that Congress does not embrace these proposed eliminations and cuts. Please write your Representatives and Senators and support this much needed funding.
