Ukraine is facing a mass humanitarian crisis; we must act NOW!
More than 7 million people have fled Ukraine since Russia's invasion in February 2022. An additional 6.9 million people are internally displaced. Those who have been displaced are in need of ongoing protection and support to ensure that their needs are met.

Host country governments must continue to ensure safe access to the territory for refugees fleeing from Ukraine and the provision of critical protection services and humanitarian assistance must be prioritized.

The U.S. Government must do everything in its power to support these humanitarian efforts, including providing support for local organizations providing relief to Ukrainians within their country and beyond. Congress must also continue to appropriate the funds needed to support UNHCR’s emergency response efforts.
