Increase Funding for Lung Cancer Research Within Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs

One of our most significant achievements has been the Lung Cancer Research Program (LCRP) within the Congressional Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) administered by the Department of Defense (DOD). With $113.5 million in lung cancer research projects already funded, this is the largest lung cancer research program - public or private - outside of the National Cancer Institute.

As an update, Congress recently approved the National Defense Authorization Act, but it still needs to pass an appropriations bill in order to fund our program.
As Congress prepares to take up the FY18 Appropriations Bill urge them to approve increasing funding for the Lung Cancer Research Program within CDMRP.
