Tell The Maryland DNR To Stop Targeting Private Anglers
Maryland DNR continues to ignore our input and is currently considering options that place significantly harsher striped bass fishing restrictions on private anglers compared to charter and commercial fishermen.

Earlier this year, we asked you to support 1 fish at 18” across all seasons and all types of fishing, and to oppose closures to catch and release fishing in March and April that were based on flawed data and don’t achieve meaningful conservation to the resource. Instead, MD DNR decided to close April even though the angling public overwhelmingly supported keeping it open!

Now they are trying to close two weeks in the summer so that the charter fishing fleet can get two fish while private anglers only get one! Tell MD DNR to stop targeting private anglers with reductions, and instead bring meaningful management change that is fair and will help rebuild the striped bass population.
