Support the Parents' Bill of Rights - Contact your State Legislators today!
Now that the left is in full control of our country at the federal level, it’s up to individual states to stand up to its radical agenda here on the homefront.

And that’s exactly what’s happening here in Florida: Earlier this month, an important piece of proactive legislation that safeguards parental rights from any further efforts to transfer them to government was introduced in both chambers of the Florida State Legislature, and has since been referred to the appropriate corresponding committees for further review and approval.

Introduced by Republican Senator Ray Rodrigues, Senate Bill (S.B. 582), along with its counterpart in the Florida House of Representatives, H.B. 241 (which was introduced by Rep. Erin Grall), establishes a “Parents’ Bill of Rights” in Florida.

And with ever more infringements upon those very rights taking place across our country and at all levels of government, these bills warrant our strong support, now more than ever.

That’s why we’re asking you to contact your State Legislators and request they vote in favor of this crucial legislation when it comes before them for a vote!

You can contact your State Legislators in one easy step using this simple contact form that LifeSiteNews.com is making available here, on the Voter Voice platform.

If passed, S.B. 582 and/or H.B. 241 would codify the simple concept that all decisions regarding a child’s education, health, and general well-being are to be made by their parents, and that the right to make those decisions belong solely to that child’s parents (or legal guardians) under Florida law.

Additionally, per the text of the bill, it would also ban “the state, its political subdivisions, other governmental entities, or other institutions from infringing on parental rights unless specified conditions are met.”

In other words, S.B. 582 and H.B. 241 reaffirm the basic ability for parents to maintain their God-given autonomy over important decisions pertaining to their children, ranging from general upbringing to educational and even medical matters.

For instance, S.B. 582 and H.B. 241 would prevent medical and healthcare practitioners from providing any services or prescribing medicinal drugs to a child under the age of 18 without their parents’ consent.

It also prioritizes parents’ ability to take an active role in their children’s education by mandating that local school districts develop policies to involve them directly; this includes permitting parents to review curricula and class materials, and opt their children out of certain classes and lessons on the grounds of beliefs relating to “morality, sex, or religion.”

If passed and signed into law, S.B. 582 and H.B. 241 will ultimately strengthen parents’ ability to grant consent on behalf of their children in numerous important facets of their lives.

And if these protections sound basic – obvious, even – that’s because they are.

But with various efforts on behalf of leftists to seize control over children from their parents materializing across our country, reaffirming their rights legislatively as soon as possible has become a necessity.

We must never take something like this for granted, and it’s up to us to let our State Legislators know that we support these bills.

Please take a few minutes to contact your State Legislators and request that they vote in favor of S.B. 582 and H.B. 241 when either comes before them for a vote.

If passed, they could set the standard for how other states can act to protect parental sovereignty in these trying, uncertain times.

Parents must remain the sole authority in making decisions that pertain to their children, not the government, and S.B. 582 and H.B. 241 will ensure this remains the case.

Thank you for helping deliver this message to them.
