After the chaos and confusion of Election 2020, the legislatures of each state must take measures to secure the vote for 2022.
We're asking YOU to contact your State Legislators and call on them to adopt common sense election integrity measures, much like the ones introduced in Florida and Texas, to safeguard our vote in future elections.

Before the close of Florida's 2021 legislative session last Friday, politicians in their State House and Senate managed to pass a major election integrity bill that strengthens voter ID requirements and cracks down on the influence of outside money over the administration of elections.
Similarly, the Texas Legislature is currently considering two bills on election reform that tackle voter fraud head-on, with the simple stated goal of making it "easy to vote, and hard to cheat" in the Lone Star State.
This is NOT racism; this is common sense!

It's up to us to ensure that voting is made easier, not harder, and that any and every opening to commit fraud is eradicated completely, ensuring that EVERY vote counts and EVERY voice is given equal power in the voting booth.
Florida and Texas have addressed the concerns that arose from the confusion and chaos of 2020, and may well set the standard for how other states should move to address election reform in the coming months and remaining years of the radical Biden Administration.
But with little sign that the federal government intends to do anything at all to remedy the situation (and everything to worsen it with bills like H.R. 1), it all comes down to states like ours to pick up the baton and ensure integrity at the ballot box.
Please take a few minutes to contact your state legislators, asking them to help protect the vote.
There are numerous simple steps that can be taken in order to secure future elections across our state, and both Florida and Texas have put forward some common sense provisions to make those reforms a reality.
For instance, the aforementioned Florida election integrity bill (SB 90) would strengthen the state's pre-existing voter ID requirements for individuals seeking to obtain a mail-in ballot or update their current voter registration information.
Additionally, it would ban the use of private funds from "an individual or a nongovernmental entity" to assist and/or intervene in election operations, as well as elections supervisors/officials from sending mail-in ballots to voters who haven't formally requested one. It would also increase transparency permissions in the vote-tallying process, giving greater access to candidates, poll watchers, and political parties/committees.
Texas' bills (including SB 7 and HB 6) also take a strong approach by prohibiting election officials and agencies from mailing out unsolicited ballots to voters, with violators being subject to state felony charges.
The legislation also returns to the pre-pandemic norm of issuing absentee ballots for individuals who cannot be physically present to vote at their poll on Election Day, and sets early voting hours to 7am-7pm. Another provision would create an online portal for voters to track the status of their mail-in absentee ballot, to be accessed with a form of personal identification.
While there's no easy solution to fix every problem surrounding the security of our elections, common sense reforms like the ones that have been introduced in Florida and Texas are a solid springboard to begin the process of securing our vote and cracking down on fraud.
Other states would be wise to follow their lead, and now is the time to let our lawmakers know that we (the people) support efforts to strengthen election integrity in our states and for future generations!
Please take a few minutes to contact your State Legislators today and request that they take action to adopt measures that increase protections for our vote and bring integrity and transparency back to the electoral process in our state.
There's no reason these measures cannot (or should not) earn bipartisan support, and at least be granted consideration by our state's legislators.
Keeping our elections safe and free is not a political issue -- it's an American issue, and every voter from every background should have the confidence that their vote is secure and their voice is heard, win or lose.
Now is the time to act, and ensure that no American living in our state or any other ever doubts the sanctity and security of their vote again.
Thank you for delivering this message to your Legislators.
