Florida Leads the Way with Legislative Victories in 2021! -- Ask YOUR State Legislators to follow their lead!

Ask YOUR State Legislators to follow Florida's lead and advance a courageous, common-sense, pro-freedom agenda to counter the radical Biden Administration!

This year has certainly been a challenging one, especially for conservatives, Christians, and patriotic Americans across our country. But even with the renewed attacks against our values, history, and culture by the Washington elite, we can still find glimmers of hope if we search in the right places .

And, over the course of the last several months, Florida has shown itself to be one of them.

While many individual states have displayed both resolve and determination in their own response(s) to the actions of the radical Biden Administration, perhaps no other state has been more successful in doing so than the Sunshine State.

And with an unmatched legislative track record for its 2021 session, the Florida State Legislature, under the visionary leadership of conservative Governor Ron DeSantis, has set an ambitious standard for what other states can do to fight back against the left's dangerous agenda.

That's why we wanted to update you on some of Florida's greatest triumphs of the 2021 legislative session, which ended back in June, and encourage you to reach out to lawmakers in your own state and encourage them to take a similarly proactive, ambitious, and courageous approach to legislating in the days ahead.

PURPOSE:  To ban vaccine passports, crack down on government overreach

STATUS:  Signed by Governor (5/3/2021)
This landmark legislation took direct aim at the vast government overreach that people across the state fell victim to throughout the Covid crisis, but, perhaps most notably, instituted a formal ban on vaccine passports in Florida. In other words, under SB 2006, no business or government entity can require Floridians to provide proof of vaccination status. Furthermore, the new law also bars local governments from closing down businesses or in-person schooling except in the case of imminent hurricane emergencies.

PURPOSE:  To protect female athletes by creating the "Fairness in Women's Sports Act"

STATUS:  Signed by Governor (6/1/2021)

This wide-encompassing education bill (now law) includes the Fairness in Women's Sports Act, which bans biological males from participating in women's/girls' sports (and vice-versa) on "interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams" sponsored by schools and institutions that received public funding in Florida. Furthermore, it directs such institutions to specifically designate teams for men/boys/males, women/girls/females, or coed/mixed, as determined by the biological sex listed on a student/athlete's birth certificate.

PURPOSE:  To safeguard parental rights from excessive government intervention

STATUS:  Signed by Governor (6/29/2021)

This new law establishes a "Bill of Rights" for Florida parents, guaranteeing that all decisions pertaining to a child's education, health, and well-being are to be made by their parents, and that the right to make those decisions belongs solely to that child’s parents (or legal guardians) under Florida law. These protections apply to healthcare providers, who, for instance, will be forbidden from prescribing drugs to a child without their parents' consent, and to educational institutions, which must allow parents to review certain curricula and class materials before they're presented to their children in the classroom.

PURPOSE:  To crack down on Big Tech companies' censorship of Floridians

STATUS:  Signed by Governor (5/24/2021); blocked by U.S. District Court (6/30/2021)

This legislation cracks down on Big Tech censorship, helping take the voices of Floridians back from the companies that seek to silence them, even while masquerading as public platforms. Under its provisions, Floridians would have the ability to sue companies that violate this principle for monetary damages; the Attorney General can bring action for violating the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act; and political candidates are immune from being de-platformed. However, on June 30th, a Federal District Court Judge issued a preliminary injunction against the law, leaving its future in question as the matter plays out in the courts.

PURPOSE:  To improve civics education in Florida's schools

STATUS:  Signed by Governor (6/22/2021)

This group of three bills prioritizes strengthening civics education for Florida students, with emphasis on teaching children how to think rather than what to think. HB 5 requires schools to renew their focus on civics education, including curriculum that focuses in on the Constitution and Americans' shared rights, ideologies (like Communism) that are at odds with the American principles freedom and democracy, and stories of immigrants who escaped totalitarian governments to pursue their dream in the United States. SB 1108 requires college and university students to take both a civics literacy course and civics literacy assessment in order to graduate. And HB 233 mandates that all colleges and universities that receive state funding conduct annual viewpoint diversity and intellectual freedom assessments to ensure that students are exposed to an array of differing opinions throughout their education.

PURPOSE:  To reform Florida's elections and protect the sanctity of the vote

STATUS:  Signed by Governor (5/6/2021)

This new law prioritizes voting reform in Florida, and cracks down on the potential for fraud and irregularities in future state elections. SB 90 strengthens existing voter ID laws by requiring additional information in order to obtain an absentee/mail-in ballot, and bans the mass-mailing of such ballots, so that the only individuals who receive mail-in ballots are those who specifically requested them. It also guarantees both candidates, political parties, and/or designated poll watchers the ability to observe signature verification processes, bans ballot harvesting, and prohibits the use of private money to fund the administration of Florida elections.

As you can see, Florida has not only proven itself a foremost defender of American values and principles, but its elected officials have taken decisive, often preemptive action to ensure that the people of their state remain protected from the radical policies bred from a dangerous, Socialist-style ideology that is currently plaguing our nation under the current Administration.

America is capable of so much more, and Florida is proof of that.

With the radical left in complete control of Washington, DC, now is the time for individual states to take matters into their own hands, and defend their people by offering bold solutions to big problems, from the widespread lack of confidence in our elections to the ongoing indoctrination of students in the classroom.

The Florida State Legislature, with the support and leadership of Gov. Ron DeSantis, has demonstrated what it will take to stand up to Joe Biden and the radical left and be successful -- not merely by blocking bad policies, but also by offering strong alternatives in their place.
