Bill to BAN ALL ABORTIONS Introduced in Ohio! -- You can help make it LAW!
AMAZING NEWS:

A bill has been introduced in the Ohio State Legislature to BAN ALL ABORTIONS!

This new legislation, House Bill (HB) 480, would make it a crime for any individual in the state of Ohio to perform an abortion, or in any way assist in the process/administration of an abortion.

And with the Supreme Court set to, at very least, reconsider the constitutionality of Roe v. Wade in its current term, there has never been a better time to be proactive and take action to protect life -- from conception -- in the United States.

That's why we need your help: Can we count on you to help Ohio become the first state in the nation to ban all abortion?

Will you contact your State Legislators and encourage them to stand up for life by supporting HB 480 when it comes before them for a vote?

You can reach your State Legislators in one easy step using this simple contact form (see right) that we're making available here on LifeSite's Action Center.

With the click of a button, your message will be delivered to your elected officials -- simple as that!

HB 480, which is sponsored by State Representatives Jena Powell and Thomas Hall with 33 other Republican co-sponsors, would ban abortions in Ohio by making it illegal for any person to administer, procure, or sell “any instrument, medicine, drug, or any other substance, device, or means with the purpose to terminate the pregnancy of a woman, with knowledge that the termination by any of those means will, with reasonable likelihood, cause the death of the unborn child.”

This legislation uses a similar enforcement mechanism to that of Texas's new Heartbeat Bill, which the Supreme Court ruled could go into effect as intended back in September, allowing citizens to file civil lawsuits against any individual or entity that performs an abortion or assists in the procurement of an abortion.

The difference? Texas's bill effectively bans abortion after the detection of a fetal heartbeat. Ohio's, however, takes things an important step further, banning abortions at any point during a pregnancy.

HB 480 makes this contrast legislatively by formally identifying all unborn children as human beings whose lives are worthy of protection under the law just as any other person's -- a (tragically) novel concept considering America's approach to protecting life since Roe was decided back in 1973.

With that in mind, it's also important to remember that Roe may soon be overturned by the Supreme Court, as the bench is scheduled to hear potential landmark cases during this term that could ultimately decide the fate of this outdated ruling going forward, as well as the fate of millions of unborn children for generations to come.

If this is ultimately what happens, the passage of HB 480 (and similar bills in other states) becomes all the more likely. And while we're still a ways off from learning what the Supreme Court's decision will be, the time to build support for this important bill is NOW.

But we need your help: If we're going to guarantee that every American's constitutional right to life is guaranteed under the law, it's going to take an all-hands-on-deck effort like never before.

So please, take a few minutes today to contact your State Legislators in Ohio, and urge them to support HB 480, which effectively bans abortion in the Buckeye State, once and for all.

Thank you!
