On Saturday, just two days after OSHA's announcement of a January 4th deadline, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary halt on Joe Biden's vaccine mandate, citing "grave statutory and constitutional issues."
The order would have required ALL businesses with more than 100 employees to implement their own vaccine requirement(s) in line with the Biden Administration's national mandate.
That said, this court-ordered halt is temporary, and there are no guarantees that it will remain in place on a permanent basis.
In fact, the Biden Administration has already filed a request with the court to lift this order in time for OSHA's original January 4th deadline.
That's why we are still URGENTLY seeking your help...
Can we count on you to contact your state's Attorney General, and to encourage him/her to take legal action against the Biden Administration and any entity, be they at the federal or state level, for attempting to threaten businesses into forcing their employees to get vaccinated for Covid-19, in many cases against their own wishes?
You can reach your state's Attorney General in one easy step using this simple contact form (see right) that we're making available here on LifeSite's Action Center.
With one click, your message will be sent directly to his/her office without having to look up any contact details yourself.
Then, please SHARE this important information with your friends and family members to spread the word across your state and our country!
Of course, this is a welcome development, but make no mistake: We must remain steadfast and not lose focus, as this is an ongoing battle.
The Court of Appeal's decision to temporarily block Biden's vaccine mandate leaves the question of the legality and constitutionality of this intrusive order in an even more delicate position than it was to begin with, confirming that it still faces an uphill battle in our courts going forward.
Of course, we already know that ANY federal order (let alone any law that has actually worked its way through the proper legislative process) that forces people to make a specific medical decision against their own personal wishes is a gross overreach of power and a complete break with the principles of our Constitution.
And now, it's time for our states to respond -- both to this mandate and all others.
Luckily, at least 26 states -- more than half! -- have already taken action against Biden's vaccine mandate, either filing or joining in lawsuits to stop this unprecedented transgression against the American people in its tracks.
However, in the event that Biden's request to lift the ruling is granted, and the mandate happens to go back into effect by the original January 4th deadline, Attorneys General from across our country must remain vigilant, and continue to pursue legal action against this gross violation of Americans' rights, all the way up to the Supreme Court. Same goes for any other mandate that may follow, be it by a federal agency, state government, or even local entity.
In other words: Now is NOT the time to become complacent.
Even though the 5th Circuit has issued a favorable ruling on this matter, we must remember that this blockage of Biden's vaccine mandate is only a temporary one, and that Attorneys General across our nation (even those who've already taken action) must keep strong and continue fighting for our rights.
Will you help us remind them what they are (or should be) fighting for?
Please take a few minutes today to contact your state's Attorney General, and let him or her know that you oppose Joe Biden's unconstitutional vaccine mandate and all other efforts to violate Americans' medical autonomy, and that you hope they will continue to battle against these mandates in the courts for as long is necessary.
