FL House APPROVES Anti-CRT Bill! -- Help make it LAW by taking this simple step...
The Florida House of Representatives has officially approved Gov. DeSantis's Stop W.O.K.E. Act, which would allow parents to sue schools for teaching divisive Critical Race Theory (CRT) in Florida schools!

This is a much needed step in the right direction as we seek to restore parental rights here in the Sunshine State while rejecting racist, divisive concepts meant to indoctrinate our children rather than educate them.

With this in mind, please join this urgent campaign now and contact your Florida State Senator, urging them to support the Stop W.O.K.E. Act!

You can reach your State Senator in one easy step using this simple contact form (see right) that we're making available here on LifeSite's Action Center.

Then, please SHARE this important information with your friends and family members to spread the word across Florida!

On December 15th, Governor Ron DeSantis unveiled a new legislative proposal called the Stop the Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees (W.O.K.E.) Act.

The proposal would allow Florida parents and workers to pursue legal action against schools and employers that seek to bring racist concepts meant to indoctrinate and divide into the classroom and workplace.

This, of course, includes Critical Race Theory (CRT), which Gov. DeSantis already directed the Florida Department of Education to ban from Florida classrooms last June.

"We won’t allow Florida tax dollars to be spent teaching kids to hate our country or to hate each other," Governor DeSantis declared during his press conference announcing the Stop W.O.K.E. Act. "We won’t allow Florida tax dollars to be spent teaching kids to hate our country or to hate each other."

"Finally," he added, "we must protect Florida workers against the hostile work environment that is created when large corporations force their employees to endure CRT-inspired ‘training’ and indoctrination."

Gov. DeSantis' proposed framework for the legislation, as included in a corresponding press release, contained the following provisions:

  • Codifies the Florida Department of Education’s prohibition on teaching critical race theory in K-12 schools.
  • Prohibits school districts, colleges and universities from hiring woke CRT consultants.
  • Protects employees against a hostile work environment due to critical race theory training.
  • Provides employees, parents and students a private right of action.
  • Strengthens enforcement authority of the Florida Department of Education.

When the State Legislature reconvened for the 2022 session, the proposal was formally introduced as House Bill (HB) 7, and voted out of the House Education and Employment Committee back in early February, moving onto the Senate for further review and consideration.

It couldn't be more clear: The last thing that Florida students, parents, and working people need is more "woke," racist concepts meant to indoctrinate and divide people based on personal characteristics in the classroom and in the workplace.

Instead, Florida needs the Stop W.O.K.E. Act to become law as soon as possible, and we need YOUR help to make it happen!

So please, take a few minutes today to contact your State Senator and urge them to send HB 7, also known as the Stop W.O.K.E. Act, to Gov. DeSantis's desk when it comes before them for a vote.

Thank you!
